The two rails that matter in Thailand
PromptPay is Thailand's national instant transfer system, linking a mobile number or national ID to a bank account. Transfers clear in seconds, at any hour, and it is the default deposit route for most Thai players.
TrueMoney Wallet is a prepaid e-wallet. It adds a layer between your bank and the operator, which some players prefer, and it can be topped up in cash at convenience stores — useful if you would rather not link a bank account at all.
Both are ordinary consumer payment tools with no gambling-specific status. Neither makes a transaction private, and neither changes the legal position of online gambling in Thailand.
Who supports what
Fun88 and 188BET support both rails. Dafabet is TrueMoney-only, which is its main practical weakness — if PromptPay is how you move money, that is a real inconvenience rather than a detail. Figures here come from the same operator database that feeds our comparison widget.
Practical points that cost people money
- Name matching. The account you deposit from should match your casino account name. Mismatches are the most common cause of a delayed withdrawal, because verification fails at exactly the moment you want your money.
